On 7th of October I took a long bus trip to CAVEHILL CREEK!! All of 5/6 was excited to go and have fun. When we got there we chose our cabins .The people that were in my cabin were James, Adam, Stefan, Jimmy and Sam .When we heard the bell I was so excited to do my first activity .Then they put us in are groups I was in the Kookaburras are first activity was canoeing, Matthew and I were on the same canoe, when Matthew and me were paddling along the river we decided to wet some of the girls. Then our activity was finished with Jess S and Riana L wet. Then dinner came we all had salad with fish and chips , it was alright but the chips were a bit frozen but the salad was perfect .After dinner everyone had to go back to are cabins to go to bed but my cabin didn’t sleep we played murder in the dark. It was so much fun when Adam was it we ate lollies because it took too long for him to get us. Then we finally went to sleep for the next day to come.

I JUST CANT GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD IT WAS SO AMAZING CAMP. WE HAD THE BEST TIME EVER, MY FAVOURITE ACTIVITY WAS CONOEING BECAUSE I WAS WITH PETER AND WE SPLASHED JESSICA AND RIANA WITH WATER THEY WERE SO DRENCHED. THE FAVOURITE ABOUT CAMP WAS OUR CABIN WE HAD THE ON SWEET, AT NIGHT WE PLAYED GAMES AND ATE LOLLIES.

WHEN WE ARRIVED ALL OF OUR BODIES WERE SO WEAK WE COULD HARDLY WALK. WE WERE TOLD TO GO TO THE WRECK ROOM THAT IS THE MAIN BUILDING IS, WE WERE TOLD OUR CABINS AND I WAS WITH:

WE HAD THE BEST TIME EVER. WE DID SO MANY ACTIVITIES. I RATE CAMP CAVEHILL 8 OUT OF 10.

Awesome three days. I liked this camp because we got the unsuited. We all had fun. My favourite activity was the canoeing I was with Ben. Ben and I were splashing all the girls. I also liked at night time because we got out two foam footys, and we started throwing them at everyone. Ben threw the ball really hard at me and then I got the ball and threw it at him. But I missed him and hit Aidan on the back Matthew got Luke on the leg we also had teams. On my team were Leon, Luke, Matt.d and Lucas. On the other team were Ben, Aidan, Matt.c and Shane.

I gave this camp 8 out of 10 because of the bunks and the unsuit. But the food was better than Rumbug

Madison

The classroom is buzzing. Everyone has been waiting for this day to come, and now it’s finally here. Mothers are waiting outside to wave their children goodbye, and to tell them to put their clothes in the right bags and to wear clean undies each day, just some motherly advice. We walk out of the classroom to our parents. We pick up our bags, and walk to the bus. The mothers gave their motherly advice, then it was time. Everyone loaded their bags onto the bus and then we drove off.....
Camp is now over and all the excitement is gone. I really miss camp, I had soooooo much fun. My fav activity was the Photography Trail. It made me look at objects in a different perspective. Our cabin was awesome. I want to give a shout out to:

Day 1:
Today was the first day of Cave Hill Creek 09. My first ever camp! It was fun. On the bus it was boring. 3 hours of just sitting on the bus, waiting to get there. Finally, we got there. Our first activity was low ropes. Our group was the drop bears. Me, Natalie, Emily H, Mikaela, Carlos, James, Angelo, Leon, Shane, and Joseph. I fell down in the mud! It stunk really bad. For dinner we had Fish, chips and salad. It was disgusting. That night we didn't sleep. We stayed up until about 5am and kept talking. We couldn't sleep.

Day 2:
This morning when i woke up i was so tired. Just goes to show, that i should've tried to go to sleep. For breakfast we had cereal. For lunch, we ate burgers. They were good. For dinner we had lasagne. I didn't like it! I was also on kitchen duty. Lucky me! I had to scrape food off plates into a bucket of food. I slept like a baby that night, because i was so tired from the night before.

Day 3:
Today was our last day at cave hill creek. I am going to miss cave hill creek! I felt like sleeping in that morning. Haha. Cereal AGAIN for breakfast. Lucky to be going to my home... can't wait to eat my mums food! And a good old bowl of pasta bolognese. We did a couple of activities that day, and i fell asleep on the bus on the way back.

Day 1:
We had a long ride there on the bus, but we finally got there. We had to carry all the heavy bags out of the bus. then we did our first activities. Mine were map reading, then taking photos, then we did a few more activities. then they showed us our cabins, i was with all my best friends. On the first night at camp we had fish and chips. After an hour we had to put our pyjamas on, then they came in to make us go to bed but we didn't sleep!

Day 2:
Day 2 was really fun, we did lots of activities, and my favourite was canoeing. Then we had lunch, it was hamburgers and sausages. YUM! For dinner we had lasagne. It wasn't as good as the fish and chips, but i ate it. Then we went for the night walk. Then after, we got changed for the disco. Then we went to bed.

Day 3:
We had cereal for breakfast. I had rice bubbles. We played a few team games. We played tug-a-war and.. we won! After that we did a few running races, and we found a wallaby. I had a really good time at camp, and i can't wait to go again.

Camp cave hill creek was fun for me and all my mates. It was the best fun. There was lots of water there! When we were on the bus I saw lots of great views. The drive was tiring and boring. There was a small building where we slept and ate. In the small building’s entrance there were the toilets and they were outside and our bunks were outside too. My cabin was fun, I was with all my friends, we stayed up late. We did lots of fun activities at Cave Hill Creek like canoeing and there was lots of water, i got wet, it was great fun. My favorite activity was canoeing , which was fun. I was canoeing with Samuel, we were playing canoeing tiggie in the canoes. we also did tug of war. Cave Hill Creek has lots of water, I got soaked! The food was nice; we even had lasagne for dinner the last night. We also had lasagna my favorite! On the first night we did a night walk with our torches, we also got lost and it was scary.we had a disco on the last night, that was fun. i had lots of fun at Cave Hill Creek, it was a fun camp.

we went to camp at cave hill creel 09. When we got there we went to our cabins. I shared my cabin with Ben, Aiden, Jamie, Luke, Matt D, Shane and Lucas. On the first day we did archery it was fun even though no-one got a bulls eye. After that we went canoeing. Canoeing was fun and we got wet! I shared the canoe with Lucas C. After that we had to find things with a compass it was ok but not as good the canoeing. We had sausages and hamburgers for lunch. After lunch we did orienteering which was finding posts and witing down the letter on each post. It was fun. Later that night we had fish and chips and peas. I didn't like it! Then went for a night walk and that was good but half of group got lost!!! We didn't see any animals because we were too noisy. When we got back we went back to our cabins and we were meant to go to bed, but we did not go to sleep at all that night!!!

The next morning we woke up for breakfast and we had toast and cereal. Our first activity was picture finding. The teacher gave us a photo and we had to find the thing in the photo. Then we did photography it was fun. We had sausages and hamburgers for lunch, it was yummy! After lunch we did the low ropes, it was fun and tricky. Later that night we had a concert. Most acts were funny, but my favourite was Emily and Rhiannas group. Then we had a disco. It was fun and excellent. We went to bed at 12.00am. After breakfast the next day we did competitions and tug of war. We quickly have sandwhiches for lunch and then we packed and then we went home.

Riana

The entire grade 5/6s went to Cavehill creek. When we got there we collected our bags and went to our cabins my whole cabin started fighting for which bunk beds we wanted. After that we gathered in the recreational room and Mr C told us which group we were in, I was with Jess, YAY! Then we went to do 2 activities one of them was canoeing it was so fun but I was yelling at jess because she didn’t know what she was doing.

Day 2

Today we did 6 activities our group did lots of the nature activities it was pretty good there are lots of trees and plants that you don’t see every day.

Day 3

It was the last day we had 2 special activities to do one of the was tug of war and the other was hut building they were both fun. The tug of war was so fun our group only won one game. In the hut building we used sticks and bark our hut was so cool. It was a really good camp.

It took a long time to get back to school I was so tired.

We arrived at camp on the 7th of October, after a long bus ride. I felt a rush of excitement going through my body. After talking to Tim, we were assigned to our cabins. Georgia, Chantal, Jessica, Riana, Emily C, Kristen, Natalie, Stephanie and Madison were in my cabin. As we were putting our bags in and taking out our sleeping bags, we all felt energetic and couldn’t help talking.

Soon the bell rang, and I was eager to find out our first activity. My group was called the ‘Drop Bears,’ and our first activity was Low Ropes. As soon as I saw the ‘Low Ropes’ course, I felt like i just wanted to run through the course and I couldn’t wait to get started.

One of my favourite activities was canoeing. I paired up with Natalie, and as she got in, I could see that she couldn’t wait to get into the lake. As Mr.C pushed us in, I felt like i was flying backwards. We paddled like ducks that didn’t know which way to go, and because other canoes knocked us, we kept going into the weeds and that made me panic!!!

Camp was a great experience, and as we left, I could feel that I had one of the best memories forever.
