On 7th of October I took a long bus trip to CAVEHILL CREEK!!! All of 5/6 were excited to goand have fun. When we got there we chose our cabbins. The people that were in my cabbin were James,Adam,Stefan,Jimmy and Sam. When we heard the bell Iwas so excited to do my first activity. Then they put us in are groups I was in the Kookaburras, are first and faveriot activity was canoeing , Matthew and I were on the same canoe, Matthew and me got board so we decided to splash Jess.S Riana.L. After the activity Jess and Riana were wet as wet can be. Then we had dinner fish and chips the chips were a bit cold , then when we were finished we went to bed to have fun the next day.

Camp Blog

On the 7^th of October we arrived at Cave Hill Creek in Bovet. When we got there it was unexpectedly cold. However as we went inside in front of the warm fireplace we all warmed up.

After that we had to get sorted into our camp groups, I was put in The Kookaburras group.

The kookaburras first had Canoeing, I went canoeing with Alex.P, It was so fun, I couldn’t stop laughing because we got stuck in the lake. People had to direct us out because we kept going in circles. Soon after we made it alive out of the lake and went back to the rec room for a little rest. Shortly after we moved on to our next activity which was Compass Work, i didn’t really understand it but I found it fun. Next we did the photo Trail, It was a bit like the amazing race because when you found what you were looking for you just ran to the teacher like it was a pit stop.

After the photo trail activity we went back to the rec room and had a big rest, we all sat near the fireplace and kept warm. Later we went back to our cabins to get ready for dinner. After we ate we went on a night walk, I walked with my friends away from everyone else and we were alone in the woods, it was scary but funny but as we looked behind us we saw the teachers so we felt a little better. Suddenly we got lost but since we were with some of the teachers they knew a way to get out instead of going through deep puddles that the other people had to walk through. After we came back from a lost and scary night walk we went to our cabins, it was just me and Lara because Tori, Miki, Mairead and Celeste went with Mr. C but when everyone was in the cabin we all went to bed. But instead of going to bed we talked all night eating lollies :)

CAMP CAVE HILL 2009 Celeste Pittorino

On the 7th of october all the grade 5/6's went to cavehill creek camp.I has so much fun there.SOme of the activities that we did were Archery, Low Ropes , Map Reading , Orientering , Photograghy and Canoeing. These activities were really fun and interesting.

Camp Cave Hill was way better then Rumbug .The Food was distgusting at Rumbug compared to Cave Hill and Cave Hill was much much much more cleaner and nicer, and my mum makes better food then them. We also had a reck room were there was table tennis, cordial a fire place and fruit.

My favorite part of camp was at night time because me ., mairead , Lara , Tori Mikaela and Sarah stayed up really late playing gaves and playing with our torches.

I also remember when we had the disco it was really fun but then it started to get boring so Me , Mairead and Lucas F were sitting by the fire and Mr Rasmussen was giving us bullets , and they were really nice. After the disco we had hot choclate and cookies and that was really yummy too. This was the last night at camp but suprisingly we all went to sleep pretty quickly

I really enjoyed camp and it will be a rememberial memory to me!

On the 7th of October, all the 5/6's went to Cavehill Creek Camp. We all stayed there for three days. First of all we all got into cabins. There were 10 people in my cabin, Georgia, Emily, Riana, Jess, Chantal, Kristen, Stephanie, Madison, Natalie and me. My favourite activities was the canoeing and the tug of war. In the canoeing I was with my friend Stephanie. She was so scared of falling in so I started shaking the canoe a bit. We had a water fight with Ben and Jamie. They got us soaked. I enjoyed the tug of war as well because everyone was so competitive and it was so fun. Camp Cavehill was lots of fun and I would love to go there again.

Tori's times at Cave Hill Creek 2009!

As we arrived at Cave Hill Creek,everyone was so happy.When we got out of the bus we took our bags to our cabbins,Mikease,Mairead,Celeste,Sarah and lara were in my cabbin.
As we heard the teachers ring the bell, every one rushed into the rec room to see what we were going to do for our first activity.
My groupe was the night owl's and my group's first activity was archery it was so fun,the closest i got to the target was the last colour and it was white!
My favrout activity's were low ropes canowing and archery,They were so fun!In caowing i was at the froung to the canow and Eleni was at the frount!At cam i had so much fun i am glad that Cave Hill Creek was my first camp!

DAY 1:

It was too exciting to wait to get there. On the 7th of October we went to camp cave hill creek in Beaufort. It was a boring 12 hour bus ride and their were a lot of canola plants on one place, it looked like one huge yellow square. We arrived at cave hill creek and it was FREEZING! We got told out cabins and where they were. I was with Samuel, Albert, nick, Andrew, Carlos, Angelo and Dominic and we were the first room to the right (coming in from the front). As soon as we unpacked a cowbell rang for our first activity. My group was the kookaburras and our first activity was canoeing. When we were preparing for canoeing i was getting excited. Me and my partner didn't ever make it halfway because we kept on going around in circles or stuck in the edges or getting stuck in the reeds and almost getting hit by a branch. At the end we couldn't even paddle back to the exit. We had to get directions on how to paddle back to the exit. Our 2nd activity for the day was compass work and that was OK. We couldn't find the last post anywhere until the last minute. The last activity for the day was a photo trail. This activity reminded me of the amazing race... except you don't win anything, then when you get a question right then you get the next photo and the scores were in ticks. Me and my partner came last. That was the end of activity's. We had dinner and the chips were stale... but I still ate them. At the first night we went on the night walk and i was excited. About 15 minutes in i started to get a little fear of someone randomly jumping out and scaring us, thanks to a friend I got that fear. About half way through i just hear from Mrs Jackson "STOP! Your going the wrong way" Mr C almost got us lost and made us go through a trail called the glut. Mr Rassmussen, Mrs Jackson and other people who were behind went our seperate ways. It took a long time to find our way back to the camp.

DAY 2:

We only got 5 hrs of sleep. The cowbell rang for breakfast. We had cereal and toast and that was ok. That day we had 6 activitys. 3 before lunch and 3 after lunch then we had 1 activity all together. Tug-of-war and it was fun. we saw another or the same wallaby just around where we were and the teachers did a round of tug of war. Miss harrison and mr rassmussen were on one side and mrs rassmussen and mrs jackson were on the other side. After the last 3 activitys we had dinner then it was concert/disco night. My cabid did a catwalk act (i was a judge) then the disco was on. I left with other people a few minutes into the disco. Everyone was angry in my cabin then we slept.

DAY 3:

In the morning i got woken up and we told freaky stories. Today was the last day and the last 2 activitys. The cowbell Rang for breakfast then the activites started. The first activity was Low-Ropes Course which was REALLY annoying... i kept on falling off. The last group competition was a 3 rotation activity of running around the lake, archery and low ropes. The last group activity was hut buildingh. Ours looked ok and it was fun. When we got back we had to pack up and get ready for our last lunch. We grabbed out cases and we left cavehill. The bus ride back was fun and funny because i was acutally talking to someone. I liked cavehill better than rumbug, because you actually got rest in cavehill!

Everybody was saying goodbye to their family members and getting in the bus. I said goodbye and got on the bus near my friend Emily.N. She says hi to me and we're off. Me and my friend play games, talk and look outside. I was tired we had been on the bus for ages. We stop to have a snack and go to the toilet and we're off again and after 1-2 hours we reach Cavehilll Creek Camp with Mr. Rasmussen waiting for us. We were greeted by the owner then we rushed into our cabins. We did activities like low ropes, canoeing, photography, archery and the nightwalk. My favourite part at camp was the concert and disco. We came back on Friday and i had alot of fun.

Samuel

We packed our bags on the bus, and won't be back for almost 3 days. Were we scared?, no, it's would be the best 3 days of our lives. We would be with all of our friends and were going to be doing lots of fun cool activities. At camp we did heaps of activities and some extra things like the disco and the acts. My favourite activity was archery, because it was really fun and also because I was good at it. It was sad to leave because I had so much fun, and a wonderful experience.

on the 7 of October grade 5/6 went to camp cave hill creek once we went on the bus it took 2 hours to get to camp cave hill. we stoped for play lunch at ballarat we only stoped for 20 minutes. then we had 1 hour to get to camp cave hill. i sleped on the bus Finlay we were at camp cave hill. we all went to our cabins and then we strait of to the activities for the day then we went to the showers and then we had dinner i had 2 fish and a hand full of chips then we had supper we had Milo and sum biscuits then we all went to bed my group stayed up all night eating but we sleped for 5 hours and then a teacher came in and the we woke up then we had breakfast i had rice bubbles with milk then we strait away got into our clothes and started the activities for the day the we went to have dinner it was good then the next day we left i wish i never left.

On the 7th of October, the grade 5s and 6s were of to Cave Hill Creek. I was so excited and couldn't wait to arrive. When we got there we got told what to do, and we all went to our cabins and set up. We all put our clothes on and got into our groups. We all set off to our first activity, my groups first activity was canoeing. It was heaps of fun because Shane and i were t-boning everyone:) I got soaked. At night we had fish 'n' chips it was good. After that i played some ping pong, then i had a shower, went to my cabin and then we talked all night. ;)The next day we went through our activities, played some ping pong then we had sausages for lunch. yumm. At night we got ready for the concert and we watched all of the funny acts, and then after that we had an awesome disco with heaps of songs. After that we went to bed and stayed up and ate lollies. The next day we all packed up our bags and put our bags outside under the verandah. We all got into our groups and went to our last activity, hut building. Our groups hut collapsed so then we had to make a new one quickly.After we went back to the rec room and had lunch for the last time. We then got onto the bus and that was the end of our camp!
